Netizn Community Guidelines

Netizn is a platform for social connection, social commerce, and wellness. Our mission is to foster an inclusive, safe, and positive environment for all users. These guidelines outline the standards we expect from our community.

1. Respect and Safety

We have a zero-tolerance policy for:

  • Hate Speech: Content that attacks individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, nationality, veteran status, or sexual orientation.
  • Harassment and Bullying: Engaging in or encouraging targeted harassment, shaming, or bullying of other users.
  • Violence and Threats: Content that promotes violence or makes credible threats against individuals or property.
  • Nudity and Pornography: Posting explicit sexual content or imagery.

2. Integrity and Authenticity

  • Spam: Sending unsolicited promotional messages, repeated comments, or using automated tools to manipulate engagement.
  • Impersonation: Pretending to be someone else or creating a deceptive profile.
  • Misinformation: Spreading false or misleading information that could cause harm or confusion.

3. Social Commerce & Marketplace

Netizn's Marketplace is a space for business and discovery.

  • Prohibited Items: You may not sell illegal goods, prescription drugs, weapons, or counterfeit items.
  • Fair Trading: Shop owners must represent their products and services accurately. Misleading listings will be removed.
  • Communication: Use the in-app chat system for business inquiries to ensure a safe and trackable experience.

4. Health and AI Features

  • Safe AI Use: Use our AI Wellness and chat features responsibly. Do not use AI to generate medical misinformation or harmful advice.
  • Wellness Content: We encourage positive health and wellness sharing. Do not promote dangerous health practices, eating disorders, or self-harm.

5. Intellectual Property

Respect the work of others. Do not post content that you do not have the rights to, including copyrighted images, videos, or trademarks.

6. Reporting and Enforcement

Help us keep Netizn safe.

  • Reporting: Use the "Report" button on any post, thread, or profile that violates these guidelines.
  • Enforcement: Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent banning. We use a combination of automated systems and human review to enforce these rules.
  • Appeals: If you believe your account was suspended in error, you can submit an appeal through our Support Center.
